First of the Season : Broad Beans

Planted last October today we had our first harvest of broad beans. They taste so good freshly picked, steamed then mixed with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a soft ripe goats cheese YUM!

You end up with more pods than beans, and they take a while to remove from their snug fluffy cases but they are so worth it. We still have more getting bigger in their pods to look forward too.
